The second stage of the 2026 Filippi Lido Trophy, which begins today in Fano, will feature national teams and clubs representing 19 different countries, including the race’s home nation, Italy. The competition includes both a national and an international circuit, and includes four different stages hosted across Italy.
Rowers from Austria, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, the Netherlands, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Switzerland, Sweden and the United States will all participate in Fano.
The most notable absence is Spain, whose rowers swept the men’s podium and picked up bronze medals in the women’s solo and mixed double in the first stage in Mondello. Unfortunately, the Italian race coincides with Spanish beach sprint trials, being held this weekend in La Línea. And the most notable addition is Italy, which didn’t send its national team to the first stage, although many of its athletes competed for their home clubs.
