The Italian rowing federation has released a draft calendar for 2027 that sets the dates for next year’s Filippi Trophy beach sprint series. The schedule will see the series begin earlier than in 2026 and spread out the first three stages by an additional week. The final stage will still take place the first weekend of June (and the Italian beach sprint national championships also will remain in mid-July).
The changes, in addition to the significant growth in participation in the International Circuit over 2026, could help reinforce the Filippi Trophy’s position as the key international beach sprint league. Additionally, releasing a draft plan almost a year ahead of the first regatta may mean that national teams will start planning their attendance already.
The 2027 Filippi Trophy dates will be:
- Stage I: 12-14 March
- Stage II: 9-11 April
- Stage III: 14-16 May
- Stage IV: 4-6 June
