La Línea de la Concepción in Andalucía has been named the host for this year’s European beach sprint and coastal rowing championships, due to be held from 16 to 20 September. This marks the second time that Spain will have hosted the tournament, the first being the inaugural championships in Donostia/San Sebastian in 2022.
The small Spanish city may be one of the most experienced worldwide in running beach sprint regattas. It has also hosted Andalucian championships since 2022, Spanish national championships in 2022 and 2025, the Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprint in 2025 and Spanish national trials last month. Before this year’s European championships, La Línea will again host Andalucian regional championships in August.
