Flamengo Wins Third-Straight Beach Sprint Brazilian Interclub Championship

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo successfully defended its beach sprint Brazilian interclub championship in Natal yesterday. The team’s rowers went 1-2 in both the men’s and women’s solo events, and picked up second-place finishers in both the mixed double and mixed quad.

The club from Rio Janeiro previously won in 2025 and 2024—due to the season calendar, the 2025 championship was held less than five months ago in November—. On Thursday, Flamengo’s gold and silver medalist solo rowers (Ana Caroline Freire, Kissya Cataldo, David Faria and Vangelys Reinke) were also among those called up to this year’s national beach sprint team.
