
Last week, the Copa America brought together coastal rowers from across North and South America to race in Lima, Peru. The USA’s Christine Cavallo and Christopher Bak took home gold in the women’s and men’s solos, respectively, while Santiago Ferrero and Sonia Baluzzo from Argentina won in the mixed doubles.
This was the fifth year of the Copa America Coastal, which is run by Club de Regatas Lima and includes both beach sprint and endurance coastal rowing events. The beach sprint competition also included under-19 and under-23 categories as well as an inclusion mixed double.
The senior podiums from the 2026 Copa America beach sprint competition were:
