Flamengo Duo Sweep Senior Golds in Debut of Brazil’s Beach Sprint Circuit

The Brazilian rowing federation launched a new beach sprint series this year in the hope of boosting development and interest in the new sport. At the inaugural regatta in Santos, near São Paulo, in mid-August, the top senior prizes were taken by Ana Caroline Freire Da Silva and David Faria De Souza from Club de Regatas Flamengo. The two won in their respective women’s and men’s solos events, and in the mixed double.
