Soccer rival Galatasaray may have topped Turkey’s Süper Lig table in the 2025-26 season, but it was second-placed Fenerbahçe that dominated at the Turkish Beach Sprint Cup last weekend. The two soccer giants are also multi-sport clubs that include rowing teams.
Fenerbahçe’s rowers won gold in the men’s solos, mixed doubles and under-19 men’s solos, and also picked up three silver medals and two bronzes. Galatasaray went home with just one medal, winning the under-19 women’s solos (with two Fenerbahçe rowers close behind on the podium).
