Following a decision by the World Rowing Council, the World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals, as well as the World Coastal Championships, will head back to Oeiras, Portugal, in 2027 and Antalya, Turkey, in 2028. Oeiras hosted both events in 2021 and Antalya held both the World and European beach sprint championships earlier this year.
The 2027 World Rowing Beach Sprint Finals will also count as the qualification regatta for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, beach sprint’s debut at the highest level of world sport.
